Tim Moore - Not My Blotting Tissues

Tim Moore - Not My Blotting Tissues

A stunning example of the ordinary made extraordinary, artist Tim Moore accumulated this collection of found blotting tissues while working as an assistant to Del Kathryn Barton. Although they have been executed by pure chance and often rescued from the rubbish, the works reveal a surprising sense of gestural intent. Moore shows us a sensitivity for timeless abstract expressive compositions while re-framing his art making process. These beautifully incidental works indicate a developing direction in Moore’s practice as he embraces more conceptual modes of expression. The book features 95 tissue works presented in a soft paperback with a large folding dust jacket. Not to be sneezed at.

Tim Moore was born in the United Kingdom where he completed a Bachelor of Three Dimensional Design (Hons) at the University of Brighton. Since relocating to Sydney, Australia in 2002, Moore has used a variety of mediums, including drawing, embroidery, photography and neon, to create works inspired by the comical and the absurd. Moore has attracted a strong critical following and his works have been included in numerous institutional exhibitions throughout Australia. Published by Formist (Sydney).

96 pages, 21 x 27 cm, paperback, Formist (Sydney).
